One in Jesus Christ
Lesson Text: Ephesians 2:11-22
#SundaySchool #COGIC #VictoryInJesus
The Apostle Paul explains the uniqueness of oneness.
Thought to Remember: Christ brings oneness.
Lessons learned:
While Jesus is the foundation, we as believers have become the building blocks of the holy temple. As a result of Jesus' establishment of the covenant with new people for a new body - the Church - every believer has an equal place within the walls of this new temple. As a member of this body, I must recognize this oneness and remove established barriers like different cultures, races, gender, and education, including social and economic standing. I must see every believer as equal in the body of Christ.
My Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, we praise and thank You for laying the foundation and making us equal with all believers. Help us to exercise the spirit of oneness among fellow believers in such a way as to bring praises to Your holy name. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.

Lesson Text: Ephesians 1:3-14

God planned from the very beginning to adopt us into His family.
Thought to Remember: God chose Us, not We chose God.
Lessons learned:
Paul's epistle to the Ephesian church remains as relevant in the 21st century as it was in the first century. It is truthful because it expresses the love of adoption. Adoption is the ultimate example of conferring nurturing love, legal standing, and inheritance to a child. As a result of this natural adoption, God has conferred the Spirit of adoption upon us, enabling us to become joint heirs with Jesus, our Savior. The privilege of being a child of God requires me to cherish and reflect on the glory of God on earth and in heaven.
My Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, we praise and thank You for planning to make us Your child from the very beginning of time. Help us to live in such a way as to bring praise to Your name. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.
