Thought to Remember:
Manipulation only achieves a short-term result.
Lessons learned: This lesson presents poetic justice. Why?
Jacob deceived his father, Isaac, by pretending to be Esau. He exchanged the younger for the older—taking the blessing that belonged to his older brother. Whereas Laban deceived Jacob by giving him Leah instead of Rachel on the wedding night. Laban exchanged the older for the younger—the reverse of Jacob’s earlier act.
